This,
my dear friends, is the final testament to the willpower of a small circle
of fans who simply will not let this beast die. Zeroes Unlimited, for
the uninitiated, is a web page created by a depraved East Texan displaced
from his homeland and deposited directly into the bustling metropolis
of Perth, Western Australia. It was there that he was given a job, fired
from said job, and issued with a brand new scanner as severance pay. Being
faced with a wild future ahead of him full of joblessness and despair,
he decided to create a web page devoted to, of all things, being a showcase
for commercial products that displayed a dazzling lack of effort. Unremarkably,
the original Zeroes Unlimited page, devoted to wacky tubes of toothpaste
and bootlegged Indian G.I. Joe figurines became lost forever. Amateur
web-historians feel that their lives are incomplete not having access
to at least the Archive.org mirror of the original Zeroes Unlimited page.
I know that I, for one, feel wholly incomplete in not being able to secure
a mirror of the original Zeroes Unlimited page, that I have failed this
great endeavour and should take the honorable way out and commit ritual
suicide. It is the only way to appease the honor of my ancestors for failing
them.
But
I digress. For the past several years (since at least The Year of Our
Lord Two Thousand and Two), I've fancied myself the curator of Zeroes
Unlimited, treating it as I would a museum exhibit. From time to time,
fans of Zeroes Unlimited have created mirrors, added content and created
"Zeroes-esque" articles of their own and posted them to their
web pages. This tickles and honors Zer-Un's creator, a well-adjusted lad
who uses the handle "Zartan Moloch." Most, of the written content
on this site has been written by this "Zartan Moloch" and we,
as his Bastard Sons are eternally appreciative of his humor, class and
writing style, trying our damnedest to emulate it perfectly. Of course,
Zartan's style can never be perfectly emulated, and no matter how good
we get, we'll never reach the ultimate heights which he's achieved.
I
suppose this is what drives us, drives myself at least. The hope that
one day my works can be looked upon with as much admiration as those upon
a web site that hasn't been updated in well over half a decade. So, gentle
reader, sit back and enjoy. This is Zeroes Unlimited Forever. As long
as Zeroes Unlimited lives on in our hearts, it will never die.
